Why should you upgrade your firmware.
Newer firmware usually improves your recorder reliability and performance, and makes it more compatible with different brands of discs, and improving the playability of discs. Turn to your manufacturer s technical support pages for firmware installation instructions if possible software conflicts, etc., then follow their suggestions.

Installing firmware is usually simple and usually takes just a few minutes. But improper installation can damage your unit. Your firmware upgrade is at your own risk. If your PC or burner damaged due to the firmware upgrade, then neither the manufacturer nor any other (PolkaPig.com) to repair, replace or reimburse you for your device. If you are unsure how the upgrade to be made please contact the manufacturer through their support page and search for instructions or assistance there. Graduation is usually permanent and can not be undone, except in a few cases on some models.

Upgrade your firmware.
Step by step:
1. Download the firmware upgrade for your burner, see link below.
2. Remove the disc from the recorder.
3. Restart the computer, so that the memory will be as fresh as possible.
4. Quit all programs that run automatically, such as screen savers, virus protection, Messager, etc.
5. Close the Internet connection.
6. Start the upgrade program that you downloaded.Follow the instructions.
7. Do not switch off the computer or doing something else with your computer during the upgrade, to upgrade ring the program reports that the upgrade is complete.
8. Once the upgrade is complete, you can check your Firmware Version, below describes how. You should now see that the new version is installed..

How to check your DVD recorder firmware version - for Windows PC
1 Open the Windows Device
2 Right-click My Computer, click Manage and then Device Manager.
3 Double-click so that the DVD drive is expanding.
4. Right click on your DVD recorder and select Properties . Note model number and firmware version number.
For MacOS 9.x
Open Apple System Profiles, found under the Apple menu.
For MacOS 10.x, go to the Finder / HD / Applications / Utilities / folder.. Open Profiles, select the products and volumes, then the ATA or IDE bus, expand your device and note its manufacturer, model number and firmware version.
